St. Croix Ballet Presents the Ballet Sleeping Beauty.
The Stillwater version of Sleeping Beauty is being directed by Susan Hovey.
Sleeping
Beauty, one of the world's most enduring and beloved fairy tales, tells the
story of Princess Aurora who has an evil spell cast on her by the angry and
wicked fairy, Carabosse. The Lilac Fairy, the fairy of wisdom, triumphs over
the evil fairy leaving Aurora to sleep for 100 years only to be awoken by the
kiss of the brave prince who follows the Lilac Fairy to the palace where the
princess sleeps. Aurora and the Prince are married surrounded by Aurora's
fairy-tale friends and the Good Fairies who have bestowed the gifts of inner
beauty on the Princess.
